Celebrating the 2024 AI-HUB@LMU Prize Winners: Maximilian Frank and Simon Lund
We are proud to announce Maximilian Frank (Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy) and Simon Lund (Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science & Statistics) as recipients of the AI-HUB@LMU Project Award for their innovative research project titled “From Dialogue to Dynamic: Innovating User Interfaces for Large Language Models.“
Maximilian Frank and Simon Lund form an interdisciplinary research team at the intersection of computer science and psychology. In their project, they develop novel user interfaces for interacting with AI models, enabling dynamic and flexible interactions that overcome the limitations of traditional chat-based interfaces.
The Jury remarked: “This project is particularly innovative in its combination of user interface design with the goal of enhancing LLM outputs, creating a powerful synergy that potentially improves both the user experience and the quality of AI-generated responses.”
Our congratulations! This project exemplifies the interdisciplinary collaboration the AI-HUB@LMU was established to promote.
Join us in celebrating Maximilian Frank, Simon Lund, and the two other winners at the Grand Opening of the AI-HUB@LMU on January 29th, 2025.
Our thanks go to the Münchener Universitätsgesellschaft for their support in endowing this prize and to the interdisciplinary review panel for their careful evaluation of all submissions.
