Sustainability is a central component of LMU's strategy. The funding opportunities presented are listed and regularly updated on the funding database Pivot RP. This list contains opportunities by German funders as well as the European Commission. Funding amounts below €100,000 as well as opportunities explicitly for commercial applicants are excluded.
As LMU researcher, you can access the (password-protected) database and refine the search to obtain more precise results based on your individual needs. This can be done in two ways: Once you have accessed the database, you can use the grey box on the left side to choose “selected funding types”, “funder types”, “keywords” etc.
For more options, you can click on "refine search" at the top of the page. This will take you to the “Funding Advanced Search” page. Here, you can add further selection criteria such as “Career stage” or “Funder type” from the white field. Additionally, you can exclude selection criteria by using the grey field. To list funding opportunities specifically related to your scientific field, you can use the “Keyword” criterion. Either enter a term, or click on “browse” and expand the relevant scientific field by clicking on the triangle in front of the relevant term(s).
You can also remove the pre-selection for funders from Germany and the European Commission, funding amounts below €100,000, and for excluding commercial applicants. Additionally, we have pre-selected "Germany" as the applicant location for all LMU users. If you wish to remove this, click on "view filter" at the top and uncheck the box "Germany OR Unrestricted."
To receive automatic notifications on funding opportunities related to your search, select “Save search” on the top of the Search Funding Results page, enter a title for the list and save. You can find additional search tips here.
LMU researchers can access detailed (and password-protected) information on access and efficient use of Pivot-RP via the Service Portal.
