Innovation and entrepreneurship are today seen as vital for the progression of the global, as well as the national, economy. The EU and several national agencies have set up “Innovation strategies” to enhance innovation in general, but also in specific subject areas (not least related to the Sustainable Development Goals). Innovation is however dependent on the driving force of entrepreneurs in order to become successful. Hence, one can find a variety of organizations that provide all kinds of support for upcoming entrepreneurs with good ideas. An eco-system of innovation and entrepreneurship is built.
The purpose of this course is to develop an understanding of what the building blocks of these eco-system are on a national, regional, and local level. A comparison will be made of the course participants’ countries, and discussions of differences and similarities will be held. A structure of a “holistic” eco-system will be developed through the discussions.
Participants will receive a certificate after successfully following the course.
