Earthquake disaster: LMU supports students in need

17 Feb 2023

LMU Munich offers various support services to students affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

The disastrous earthquake near the border between Türkiye and Syria has cost thousands of human lives and caused untold suffering among the population. Especially toward students from this region who are currently at LMU, we would like to affirm that we stand with you in solidarity. Our support is open to all whose families are affected by the earthquake. Indeed, extensive advisory services and psychological support are always available to all students who find themselves in an emergency situation.

LMU students affected by the recent earthquake disaster can also receive financial support via LMU’s emergency aid program. This program supports international students and doctoral researchers at LMU who find themselves in financial need unforeseeably and at short notice. In addition, LMU provides appropriate funding to student refugees who are seeking asylum. Go here for details of scholarships for international students at LMU.

If you have any questions about your studies, such as having exams delayed, for example, please contact the person responsible at your faculty.
