Public Lecture Series
LMU’s lecture series is getting a new format in 2023/24 academic year: after having only being offered online with Corona Lectures and KI Lectures in response to the coronavirus pandemic, and then returning to LMU’s main building during the 2022/23 winter semester with Science Talks, which were also streamed online at the same time, the university is responding to the wider public’s desire to continue the hybrid approach – both in-person at the LMU’s main building and virtually via online streaming – and opening a new window to academia.
In the FocusLMU series which is held every semester with two events in cooperation with the Munich University Society and MEDIASCHOOL Bavaria, renowned LMU scholars examine topics shaping society from a variety of disciplinary perspectives, provide insights into their current research findings, and discuss the pressing issues of the day on a multidisciplinary basis.
