Examination and Study Regulations

The Examination and Study Regulations relating to your degree program make up an essential document that helps with orientation and the creation of your degree syllabus. The regulations show — among other things — which courses you should sensibly attend in which semester, which types of courses (lectures, seminars, practical sessions, etc.) you should expect and when, and which courses are compulsory (Pflicht — P) or optional (Wahlpflicht — WP). Detailed information on the individual modules and events can be found in the Program Handbook.

The Examination and Study Regulations are also very important during the course of your studies. That's because they regulate the content, requirements, timings and procedure for examinations.

You can obtain your copy of the Examination and Study Regulations from the Examination Office responsible for your subject. It is also possible to find it online as part of the description of your chosen degree program.
