Placement into a higher semester of a new subject

Placement into a higher semester of a new subject or degree program is possible if the respective examination office has issued a confirmation stating that previously acquired credits are transferable to the newly chosen subject or degree program. These credits may have been obtained at LMU or at another German or international university.

Students transfering from other universities to LMU need to complete the registration process with the Office of the University Registrar or the International Office. You are unsure where to register? The University Application Navigator can point you in the right direction!

Students already registered at LMU need to request a change of subject at the Office of the University Registrar or the International Office depending on their nationality and the admission requirements of the chosen subject.
