Current Research Projects

  • Dweck's (1986) helpless pattern revisited - the interactive effect of self-concept and mindset in relation to achievment emotions according to CVT (Pekrun, 2024)
  • the academic self-concept, trait emotions, state emotions, and psychophysiological correlates
  • state self-concept as potential mediator between trait self-concept and state achievement emotions

Research Interests

  • emotion and motivation - associations and potential precursor variables
  • students and (pre-service) teachers
  • extension of trait self-report research by emotional and psychophysiological states
  • gender in STEM (math anxiety, stereotype threat)
  • statistical analyses - combination of variable-centered and person-centered approaches (latent SEM, LPA), inter-vs. intraindividual designs
