My research interest focuses on the influence of childhood traumatization on emotional dysregulation in trauma-associated disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and borderline personality disorder. My work focuses on the investigation of neurobiological and psychological transdiagnostic mechanisms in this context, with a particular focus on sleep disorders (e.g. insomnia, nightmares, fear of sleep) as a potential mechanism.
