My research focuses on investigating the influence of trauma-focused, imagery-based interventions on the declarative memory of traumatic experiences. I am particularly interested in the extent to which and under what conditions imagery-based interventions, such as imagery rescripting, imaginal exposure and EMDR, can change memories, which is especially relevant for survivors of physical and sexual violence and their credibility in criminal proceedings.
