Quality Assurance of Teaching at our Faculty
At the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, we prioritize the quality of teaching and the continuous improvement of our courses. To support these goals, we offer several possibilities each semester for standardized course evaluations.
Lecturers can carry out a formative interim evaluation at a time of their choosing, ideally in the middle of the semester. For this purpose, a preconfigured evaluation module is implemented into the respective moodle course.
The results of the interim evaluation can be used to collect suggestions from the students and, if possible, implement the feedback during the current semester.

At the end of the semester, summative evaluations of selected courses are carried out via EvaSys.
The courses selected for evaluation are selected based on a systematic or random selection. Lecturers can also volunteer to have their courses evaluated.
Department of Psychology
All courses in the Bachelor of Psychology and School Psychology degree programmes are evaluated on a regular basis.
Department of Educationall Sciences and Rehabilitation
A random selection of courses is evaluated each winter semester.
Lecturers whose courses are selected for evaluation will receive detailed information about the procedure at the beginning of the semester. If possible, the evaluation is supervised by a member of the evaluation team to ensure a standardized protocol across all selected courses. The results are sent to the lecturers by the evaluation team.
If a course is not selected to be evaluated by the regular or random assignment, lecturers can carry out a voluntary evaluation. Deadlines for requesting a voluntary evaluation are communicated at the beginning of each semester. In the case of voluntary evaluations, the lecturers themselves lead the evaluation and can also access the results themselves.
End-of-semester evaluations provide lecturers with constructive feedback from students, helping them to continuously improve their teaching methods and courses.
To be responsive to the feedback, evaluations are conducted early enough before the end of the semester, allowing lecturers to discuss the results with students.
