ECONnect Program

ECONnect cooperates with renowned companies that benefit from the analytical skills and methodological expertise of economists, in particular management consultancies, banks and research-related institutions.

The program includes various events in the winter and summer semesters. The program starts with an introductory evening . Later on, the focus is on the workshop days. The workshops include case studies or simulations, for example, to familiarize participants with the way companies work. These are accompanied by discussion evenings on current topics, which enable students to apply their knowledge to real-life problems.

The program ends with a ceremonial awarding of certificates as part of the VAC's annual celebration.

In addition, participants become members of the Münchner Volkswirte Alumni-Club e.V.

Interested students from the 3rd semester onwards can apply for the program. Application period for 2024/2025 has expired.

Selection is based on academic performance, commitment within and outside the university, experience abroad and, if applicable, professional experience. In individual cases, a selection interview may take place; as a rule, a written application is sufficient.

Selected students receive access to all events with our partner companies, exclusive offers for internships, working student jobs and direct entry, a 2-day summer seminar and an award from the faculty. Regular participation in the events is mandatory. The event language is English.
